This is an old house, a Century house, beautifully maintained and filled from new roof to original polished hardwood floors with period furniture, style and elegance. Talwood Manor features four themed bedrooms, all with remote controlled air conditioning for your comfort. A Sitting Room with fireplace and an impressive dining area allows guests to gather and meet in comfort.

Clean, quiet and central to downtown Port Colborne, the Talwood Manor is literally across the road from the famous Roselawn Centre and one block from a host of other local amenities.

Come and enjoy the ambience of our community. We have so much to offer.

Situated on Lake Erie at the entrance to the Welland Canal, Port Colborne is known as the Gate Of Navigation. Featuring the longest lock system in the world, Port Colborne is host to not one, not two, but THREE pivoting road bridges: The Jacknife, Swing and Clarence Street bridges are engineering masterpieces, only a couple of blocks from the Talwood Manor. From historic West Street you can view the Laker ships going through the middle of town, en route to the USA, Quebec or the open ocean!

Our city also features a World Class marina, lots of high quality restaurants, trail biking, horse riding, a museum, a Friday Farmers Market, some really good local bands and a host of other things to do.

If that wasn't enough, the whole of Niagara is within 45 minutes of your themed, air conditioned room. Enjoy!

"Judith here... Just a short note. During the thunder storm this morning I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and listening to the lighting and rain on the screened porch. I could hear the leaves of my maple trees rustling and the wind whispering through the pines across the street from the Roselawn grounds. How lovely it was to enjoy this all within the comfort of a protected and mosquito free environment. In the past I have enjoyed the peal of the bells from Portal Village Church...actually every Sunday morning and during the week around noon. At times I've seen and heard the actors on the Roselawn grounds preparing for their theatre performances. Also hearing the music in the air from the downtown area during the evenings, along with the horns of the ships passing through the canal. These are the sights,  sounds and senses guests enjoy while here. I plan to erect a gazebo by the end of June so guests can enjoy a shady nook and listen to the crickets...while the fragrance from the garden flowers hangs in the summer air. Along with the copious amounts of tea and coffee at what our guests tell me are the greatest breakfasts... I've gone on much longer than intended but these are just some of the experiences guests have while staying at Talwood Manor...

Talk with you soon.
